Enduring British band DURAN DURAN are making a movie based on their prolific 25 years in the music industry - and they're not ruling out lead roles for Hollywood stars BEN AFFLECK and NICOLAS CAGE.

The RIO hitmakers, who launched their career in 1978, have reportedly signed a deal with an American film company, and hope to attract some big names to the project.

A source says, "SIMON LE BON, JOHN TAYLOR, ANDY TAYLOR, NICK RHODES and ROGER TAYLOR will all have cameos but they're casting for the main roles.

"BEN AFFLECK and NICOLAS CAGE are both big fans, so you never know!"

Ummm ... I've got mixed feelings about the whole movie thing. I mean, if this turns out badly, DD will most likely be ridiculed non-stop. I wouldn't want that to happen.

But ... it could also turn out to be a hit

I'm in the camp who has mixed feelings about it, but I know I will see it when it comes out and cant wait to see the actors chosen to play the roles. I like the fact the guys are helping cast the roles
