SUPERSTAR Simon Le Bon has revealed Duran Duran are still wild boys
at heart - they've attacked each other with PORK PIES!
The Brummie band's frontman admitted they still don't have the
perfect relationship and have even come close to a punch-up.
'There was an incident once when someone chucked a pork pie at
another bandmate,' admits Simon. 'You know what they say - a leopard
never changes its spots.
'We have come close to a few fights again but I can't say between
who. And I'll never reveal just who threw the pork pie.
'We do have our arguments and I suppose that's because we've been
together for so long.'
The boys formed in the early 80s and have a huge fan base, especially
in hometown Birmingham.
But that didn't stop them from releasing a concert DVD, which was
filmed in Wembley.
'I don't know why it wasn't the gig in Birmingham that they chose to
film,' Simon says. 'But that's what was decided. I have no idea why
it was Wembley.'
The DVD is the band's Christmas offering. There won't be a single out
this year but fans will be relieved to hear there'll be another album
towards the end of 2006.
'We've started work on one,' reveals Simon. 'This year has been
incredibly busy. We've played in 23 different countries and to a
total of four million people.
'It's been amazing. We did some huge shows in Europe, including Live
8. It's a lot of hard work but for every two months on, we get two
months off.'
They've still got one more date to play, at Birmingham's NEC on
December 17.
'We love coming back to Brum,' says Simon. 'That's our Christmas
offering to the city, as well as the DVD. There's a lot of unseen
material on there that our fans will enjoy.'
