(West Hollywood, CA; January 9, 2005) – The world-famous Key Club on the Sunset Strip announces the debut of Key Club at Morongo, a major new nightclub and entertainment venue at the new $250 million Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, with a grand opening celebration on January 14, 2006. A special performance by multi-platinum selling band, Duran Duran, will kick off at 8:30 PM; and LA’s famed DJ AM will follow at 10:00 PM. According to Broadway Entertainment Co-Chairman/Key Club partner Keith Pressman, “The New Year’s Eve soft opening of Key Club at Morongo was a huge success, bringing in over 1,100 people and generating an overwhelming response. The grand opening is going to be even better and will definitely be a night to remember.”
“We plan to bring the ultra-sexy excitement, glamour and energy of the Sunset Strip to the desert,” said Pressman. “Entertainment at this spectacular new venue will include various genres of national and international headliner acts as well as dance nights featuring some of the best deejays in the industry.”
“The Key Club is celebrated internationally for its headliner live musical acts and its glamorous, sophisticated private events, movie premieres, Oscar parties and music and TV industry parties,” said Morongo General Manager Bill Davis. “We are very excited to welcome the venue that was most recently voted ‘No. 1 Best Live Music Venue,’ by AOL and has been named ‘Club of the Year’ by the L.A. Times and Details Magazine. This will provide our customers a full spectrum of high caliber entertainment.”
Key Club owners are enthusiastic about opening the new location at Morongo with its proximity to 18 million people within a 90-minute radius of the property.
“Its accessibility to L.A. combined with an opportunity to bring top acts to a multi-level music venue similar to the Key Club on Sunset was something we just couldn’t pass up,” said Pressman. “There is no question, this will be the place to party.”
“Key Club at Morongo will possess a multitude of unique spaces to create luxurious environments for VIP guests,” said Christine Kamps, vice president and Broadway Entertainment/Key Club partner. Limited individual and corporate memberships are available and transferable between Key Club Los Angeles and Plush Lounge Las Vegas. The Key Club at Morongo will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays. Hours of operation and cover charges will vary based on the night’s entertainment.
