ya know there are so many people on some other boards that are really having a hard time with this. saying its too little too late. IMHO i think its good for those that can afford it but it is terribly short notice---but congrats to all that got the tickets they wanted!!
especially Nath!!! congrats on some awesome VIP seats!! ROCK ON!

ya know there are so many people on some other boards that are really having a hard time with this. saying its too little too late. IMHO i think its good for those that can afford it but it is terribly short notice---but congrats to all that got the tickets they wanted!! especially Nath!!! congrats on some awesome VIP seats!! ROCK ON! well if I had the money.. I would have loved to have gone. I don't think its to little to late...but then again, I've been there since the beginning and will be there till the end (hoping its along way off though!!). |

ROCK ON! I dont think it's too late either. I'm not arguing w/ you personally, Joni. Just at what some of those other people think. Duran unfortunately is never going to be at the success level they were back in the 80s. I believe that was a once in a lifetime thing. I mean, look at the Top 40 and the Hot 100 charts. Musical tastes have changed to a different type of format than the type of music Duran creates. A band's success really comes from touring from what I can tell. Unless a CD goes platinum multiple times over, there is no money to be made on recordings anymore from what i've gathered. The pay-off comes from tours. And if this show isn't a sell out, it will shock me!!  I think a good portion of the shows they play sell out or come close. I do concede that they may have lost some momentum, but i think they will be alright!  Because they still have a lot of hard core fans out there (like Mar, LOL) that will be there "as the (final) lights go down" bwa hahah, couldn't resist! I do agree that it was TOO SHORT OF NOTICE!! But then it seems like almost ALL Duran shows are that way, arent they?   I'm glad for the people that were able to swing it, though.  gee, i think that's the longest post i've made in a long time. sorry for the novel, LOL! |

I dreamed I was there last night cutting that rug. Then someone had to tickle me. I tickled them back. When I tickled them back there was no reaction. *Shock*  I got a closer look at who tickled me. It was John. I frown.  I was so dissapointed.  I continued to dance pretending that it never happened. Then when done I called him a loser to his face then walked off.  I was so disappointed and mad. He was hurt.  Later I was so sorry I called him a loser to his face.  I cried almost all night. It was awful. Then I cried myself to sleep. In the middle of the night something woke me up.  I wondered what it was. Someone was in my bed. I heard laughing. Who was that I wondered. I turned to see. "Who's there?", I ask. No answer. I reach across to touch the pillow then I know who that was.  I laughed. I laughed so hard that I snorted. Who would have thought that John was in my bed. I smiled then went back to sleep. |
