@ Wendy .. I've been a die-hard fan of Classic Hollywood since I was younger -- my aunt Grace got me into all the films. I've also been collecting films, books, magazines, posters, dolls and all other kinds of things pertaining to that time period since then. Glad someone on here knows who she is besides me  Thanks for the compliment on my new banner too!  |

I first saw her in a Harper's Bazarre back in the eighties in a spread about classic Hollywood hairstyles. She was gorgeous...and married to Clark Gable, sheesh! Too bad she left us too soon.

Yeah -- I adore her. I'm actually reading a biography on Clark Gable right now ... it's an excellent one too ... one of the best I've ever read. Anyway, I was reading the chapter about her death this morning ... it literally brought me to tears -- that's what inspired me to make the banner. I was just sitting there, reading and crying  the way the author described everything was really poignant. I actually had to stop reading for a minute or two. She was also married to an actor named William Powell -- he's another one of my favourites ... have you heard of him? |
