1963 - The Rolling Stones released their first record Come On.

1966 - Roy Orbison's first wife Claudette was killed in a motorcycle accident.

1978 – Prince released his first single, "Soft and Wet.”

1993 - Cleveland, Ohio held the ground breaking ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

1993 – On his birthday, Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol.

2000 - After a 7-year battle with Warner Brothers, Prince held a weeklong event at Paisley Park Studios to celebrate reclaiming his name.
