CHILDREN IN NEED CHARITY AUCTION!
Duran Duran are participating in an exciting new televised charity event for the BBC called THE GREAT BIG BID. The Great Bid, which benefits the charity CHILDREN IN NEED, will auction off a selection of unique and highly desirable prizes and feature them on a series of live shows on BBC1. The goal is to raise funds for the thousands of charities that benefit from CHILDREN IN NEED. Simon & Roger went on BBC 1 on November 16th to offer of this package from Duran Duran:
STAR FOR A DAY
* Two people will fly with the band on a private plane from London to Glasgow
* On arrival they will travel with the band to the venue and/or the Five Start Hotel they will be staying in that night
* Travel to the venue (if they have gone to the hotel first)
* The winners will be given their own private dressing room backstage. Provided: catering for this room, a nameplate for the door (that the band will sign later) and a gift basket - containing albums, tour merchandise and a signed copy of the band's new live DVD 'Live From London'.
* Photos with the band prior to the show. The band will come to their dressing room to sign the merchandise and take some photographs
* Watch the show from the best seats in the house
* Travel back to the hotel
* Fly the next day back (on a commercial flight).
