Is it really 25 years since the release of 'Planet Earth'? I don't know what to say about that, what I think about it.
What can I remember about that time? I do remember playing 'Top Of The Pops' the same day as The Who and Soft Cell, and we played a London show the same night. I remember the actual date, the 14th wasn't it (or is that Valentine's Day?). It certainly does seem like a lot has happened since then. Well, it has hasn't it, for all of us I mean? I wonder if there's anyone reading this who wasn't even born then? Probably not, but my step-son Travis wasn't, neither was Bean or Zoe for that matter.
I just can't imagine doing anything else. What would we all have done if 'PE' had been a one hit wonder? Zounds man, I'd rather not think about it!
One thing is for sure, it would be no fun without our fans, sticking out record after record that no one wants to buy or listen to. I cannot imagine that either, ich! horrible... too grisly to contemplate.
So, thanks are in order to all of you who care, or bother about what we do on a daily, weekly or occasional basis, whether you have been a fan since 'PE' or 'Nice'...We love our job and are very grateful to you all for keeping us employed!

My strongest memory of the release of 'Planet Earth' is one of gathering around the radio in Chipping Norton studios (where we were recording
tracks for the forthcoming 1st album) and hearing one of our songs being played on the radio for the first time, being absolutely ecstatic and feeling that we had really 'arrived,' when in fact it was just the start of a very long journey.
Other key moments were when we found out that we were going to appear on 'Top of the Pops' and shooting the video, which was like a step into the unknown in those days.
My feeling now is that it is still a great song that has stood the test of time, as well as a song that we enjoy playing live today as much as we did then. And of course, thanks to all the amazing fans we have around the world that still support the band 25 years later after our first release.
