As you may be aware, Michael Patterson has been working in the Studio with Duran Duran on their upcoming record. Here's a report from the road...

Things are going very well here. We are finally mixing the album. Aside from last minute additions, everyone is finished with their parts and the record sounds amazing!
All of the songs have titles and the album has a name. (wouldn’t you like to know.....)
For the last six months I have been living and breathing this album and I can’t wait for you to hear it.
We started the record in San Francisco just after they came off of two years of touring, so they were playing in top form. The songs and ideas that had been bottled up while on the road poured out and we got a great start on the record.
We moved to London after that and have been here ever since.
We should be done with everything in the first week of May or so and then hopefully you will be hearing things from the album soon after that.
As a huge fan of the band for many years, it has been a great honor to work with these guys. I have never worked with such a dedicated and talented group, and I think this album clearly reflects all the hard work they’ve put into it.
From one fan to another, I have to say… This is shaping up one of my all-time favorite Duran Duran albums.
This is something to be excited about. I hope you have as much fun listening to it as we did making it…
