This is 100% accurate and 100% reliable info!
I guess Sept 11 date is only the radio release date and not as big a deal if it was the retail date. Most stations can introduce it over the week if they wanted to
I guess the retail date will be a few weeks before the album is due when the video is done = mid Oct
VMH
Those dates look spot on.
Last I heard was 11/6 or 11/13 for the album.
@sarahb
The song is not really upbeat...and the "falling down" is in first person about the singer of the song. No reference to towers (that I remember). I think they already did their 9/11 song with "Point Of No Return"!
This song is more of a personal thing. About overcoming. The lyrics to the pre-chorus (to me) remind me of the lyrics to the pre-chorus of "Ordinary World"...they aren't the same...nor do they sound the same, but they convey the same kind of emotion.
Beginning of the second verse, if I remember correctly (wish I had my own copy!!!):
"Cold is the wind rushing past my lonely head"

FD - I have heard has a nice beat to it and is an amazing song - VERY MELODIC
JT is on it quite a lot!
Looks as if NR might not even be a single....
VMH
It does have a nice beat.
A little stuttery acoustic gtr...a bit of a boom boom bap beat...nice Nick sounds in the chorus...REALLY nice breakdown...guitar solo and heavier drums on the outro. VERY commercial.

I really think the more traditional minded Duran fans will find a lot here to like, not least the fcuking lovely pre-chorus and the chorus itself. The verse lyrics strike me as a lil clumsy, but that never stopped Si before!

I have only heard 60 seconds or so down a phoneline - ha
So hard for me to comment
the 2 people I know who have heard it are not big DD fans BUT love this song!
VMH
Ahhhh, I got the phone treatment first...then was lucky enough to have a Sony visit the day that the mastered version was delivered.
It only gets better!

BLAZE
I believe "Falling Down" has something to do with Simon's motorcycle accident in the early 90's.
VMH
@blaze
Absolutely. The whole first verse is about damaging one's testicles. Seriously!
hehe
