Thanks to the duranduranmusic.com... Taking to it like a duck to water, the intrepid Simon LeBon, along with his younger brother Jonathan, went to Sweden earlier this week for a little ice-sailing. Accompanied by the BBC, the two took a crash course on ice-sailing in order to compete in an event which was being taped for BBC 2’s High Altitude television programme. Set to air on March 8th, the show, which features extreme sports segments, found Simon and Jonathan in Sigtuna, near the Southern Coast of Sweden, where vodka keeps you warm and the sun sets in the afternoon. Out among the dazzling beauty, Simon and Jonathan learned from pros on a frozen lake, only to try their luck against some real competitors the next day. How’d they do? Well you will have to tune in on the 8th to find out...but as these pictures can attest, there isn’t a sailing sport Simon can’t rock! NAT
