THUNDER RETURNS FOR ANDY TAYLOR:
There has been talk on and off about a re-issue of Andy Taylor's classic Thunder album. It seems that talk is back on, with a Japanese re-issue planned. I have yet to find a Japanese listing or release date for the title, but I can confirm the track listing. The set features the album's original 9 tracks (no word of whether this is remastered) and adds 8 bonus tracks - featuring re-mixes and Andy's various soundtrack appearances.
Unfortunately there are no unreleased studio tracks, something Andy spoke of as available when I interviewed him in 2004. The track listing details are as follows:
I Might Lie . Don't Let Me Die Young . Life Goes On . Thunder . Night Train . Tremblin' . Bringin' Me Down . Broken Window . French Guitar. Bonus Tracks: Take It Easy . Wings Of Love . Angel Eyes (All from American Anthem soundtrack) . When The Rain Comes Down (From Miami Vice II) . Dead On The Money (From Tequila Sunrise) . Take It Easy (Vocal / Rock Mix) . When The Rain Comes Down (Long Version) . Take It Easy (Extended Dance Version).

A little more information on the Andy Taylor re-issue mentioned Monday. It seems it is only available via E-Bay and is NOT an official Japanese retail release. It is being credited to the Duran Duran Japanese Fan Club, so who knows where the legalities lay there. Either way, it is still a pro-manufactured CD and is a pretty fine looking package and gathers up all Andy's solo and soundtrack material of the era surrounding the Thunder album.
