I think it would be as much Simon's fault as it is Andy's. Or John's. Or any of them. I think what happened with Andy was that it was a square peg in a round hole issue; not to say he didn't fit in the band, just that he always had a different sensibility than the some of the others. For four albums, they made it work and it was great. But it's a lot of effort to create something and it's a lot of effort to create with people who are a different page than you - whether that's musically or personally or whatever. The result, I believe, is that all parties involved just realized the work required to keep it together wasn't worth it; Andy wasn't getting what he needed out of the band. It's the same reason he left the first time. And the core of why Roger left and eventually why John left. So do I think Simon pushed Andy over and said nyah nyah nyah, I'm bored with you, begone - no. Official messages are always polished and superficial, but when the band say it's irreconciable differences, then I believe that's all it is. And the fan finger pointing is most likely the result of confusion and the need to blame something on someone. Simon seems like an easy scape-goat given his visibility and seemingly flashy nature.
That's my naive (and long winded) take on it anyway.

I believe it just is what it is: irreconcilable differences and a mutual decision on all parts.

Andy doesnt seem the type to take anyones crap, so I'd find it hard to believe any one person could push him out of the band, meaning I think Andy would just say f*&^ you and lets get on with the music. Now when it comes to the direction of the music, maybe that had something to do with his leaving- but it certainly wasnt just coming from Simon. So no, I dont think its Simon's fault, although I admit Im biased (sp? sorry im a crappy speller) when it comes to him anyways **edited for spelling and just cause i wanted to**

People shouldn't blame Simon. Andy's departure was based on mutual decision. They decided togeather that Andy could not be in the band anymore. Mostly due to health reasons. I am just guessing that part. I do know that Andy has been sick again and the doctor said he could not travel. So they mutually decided that Andy cannot stay.
